"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

I was a "Navy Baby", born in Malta where my dad was stationed. Went to mixed comprehensive school, but dashed the hopes of parents by not going to University.
Instead, worked for a while in a research laboratory, where I showed a remarkable aptitude for genetic engineering. Then a twist of fate and a conveniently placed school friend got me a job at Marvel Comics.
Now been in or around that field for a long, long time. Now, I'm a senior comics editor working on such prestigious titles as The Simpsons and Transformers. I am also regularly confused with the Steve White who drummed for The Style Council, and Steve White, the sci-fi author.
I've also been called "The John Milius of Paleoart" which I take as a compliment.
